Many think that Salem is in Kongu belt. Actually Salem is a Vanniyar bastion. Majority community here in Salem is Vanniyar. In Salem, DMK WAS strong in Urban area. Local politics brought down the popularity of DMK even among urban voters. /1

ADMK made in roads to many DMK pockets from 2011. Resentment against one particular nepotistic local DMK family was the reason DMK lost consecutively it`s strong hold. Failure of DMK to have a check on the local henchman is the reason people started disliking the party ! /2

Edappadi - the constituency from which the current CM Mr.EPS won is also a Vanniyar majority area. The second major community there is Nadar. Nadar votes are very pivotal in deciding the victory of any candidate. /3

In 2016 TN assembly election, Vitamin M played a crucial role in determining the victory. DMK was not LIBERAL in terms of Vitamin M! Candidate was also weak. If @KanimozhiDMK would have campaigned there for few more days the result could have been topsy-turvy! /4

This could have even changed the entire course of TN politics. NTK has a say among the voters of Edappadi. PMK is the only hope now for ADMK in Edappadi & other Northern districts. Anti-incumbency among people is strong, but Vitamin M may veto any anger & dissatisfaction! /5

Parties should unanimously decide a strong candidate & expose the frailties of CM Mr.EPS. By all means defeating him must be the only objective. This lockup death has created a wrath among people. Especially the inaction of Mr.EPS is detested by people irrespective of caste! /6

Without understanding the dynamics of the situation& sentiments of people Mr.EPS is taking desperate decisions, that will have electoral repercussions. One such decision is to revoke the police security given to Mrs.Kanimozhi & Mrs.Rajathiammal. /7

Mrs. @KanimozhiDMK condemned the police brutality in very strong words & questioned the mendacious claims of Mr.EPS. This has definitely irked him. Instead of taking action against policemen , he has turned on people who seek justice. /8

@CMOTamilNadu is taking decisions in haste. This will cost him dearly in the forth coming election. This is not the time to play petty politics. During a pandemic like this the priority of the govt must be to protect people./9

Mr.EPS is vincible! He can be defeated electorally in his constituency , if parties come together and make an effort. He must be taught a lesson in the election! It is high time we proved people can`t be bought!
