@Paladin742 @CHSommers By “neutral” I mean he did not himself express an opinion. He did a very good job of helping me articulate my intuitions (which I was little practiced at, at the time) and at least getting some of the other students to see the point I was trying, however clumsily, to make.

10 years later, I was a theist.
Our second was over post-modernity vs antiquity.
10 years later, I was thinking like an ancient.
Our third was over his conversion to Orthodox Christianity (of all the silly things)!

@Paladin742 @CHSommers I do feel the need to note that, before I went full-Ancient, I was always a “right-wing” postmodernist—I was reading Nietzsche and Heidegger and I thought Derrida, Deleuze, Lyotard, Lacan, et al were lunatics.
