I cannot stop laughing. CHAZ literally seceded from America to avoid the cops. The media and mayor portrayed it as a "block party," a haven of democracy and freedom. Then violence broke out, people fled, and the armed leader is blaming...AMERICA. 
People are fleeing the beautiful republic of CHAZ for the dystopian racist hellscape of the United States. Clearly, they have internalized their white privilege.
This quote is EVERYTHING. CHAZ was always just a beautiful, beautiful idea. An idea that manifested as lawlessness, incompetence, brutality, and several shootings. But true CHAZ has never been tried!
"It's over because of the violence...CHOP is not a location, it is an idea" is one of the best things anybody has ever said. It's Shakespearian.
The true CHOP was the smile in our heart, not the guy bleeding out next to the smile in our heart.
The real CHAZ was the friends we made along the way, who we then shot and left for dead because we don't like cops.
It's a shame that CHAZ's agrarian revolution didn't go all that differently from other communist agrarian revolutions. Maybe it's because these brilliant free thinkers were dropping topsoil on cardboard and calling it a farm. Or maybe it's because of capitalism's innate evil.
