US Update: 6/25/2020

Graph 1: Daily Deaths Overlaid with Current Hospitalizations

***The more important metrics (ICUs/Deaths) are fighting to oppose the less important metrics (Cases/Hosps)

- Deaths decreased again today week-over-week
- Hosps up again and are key to watch

/1
Graph 2: Daily Hospitalizations vs. Deaths (7-Day Avg) vs. Daily Detected Cases

- Detected Cases increased to highest point ever
- 7-Day Death Avg decreased for the 14th day in a row
- Hosps with a real increase

/2
Graph 3: Daily Tests and Detected Cases Overlaid with Current Hospitalization Census

***Cases DO matter but are not informative without context

- More Cases and More Tests but many more Cases than Tests on avg
- 1-day Case Positivity big jump to 7.7%

/3
Graph 4: Coronavirus - Census for Hospitalizations vs. ICUs vs. Ventilators

- ICUs reversed and had a big drop. This is a major metric to watch
- Vents dropped again and at lowest point since peak

/4
Additional Commentary:

- The AZ/TX/FL/CA numbers are driving the national case and hosp increases but also have artificial amplitude due to outside factors like MX border crossings
- ICUs going down by 150 is big considering the above
- FL deaths still lower than IL/NJ/MA/PA
