No, you know what, fuck you. If I decide I'm not going somewhere, I'm not fucking going. I haven't lost shit, plot or otherwise. I don't know who the fuck Bongino thinks he is, and I don't fucking care what he owns or doesn't own.
Bongino at no point has ever provoked me into thinking. At no point have I ever heard anything he says and gone, 'huh, let me contemplate this a bit more.'

I pursue thought. I pursue ideas. I pursue contemplation. Until Parler presents something like that, I'm not interested.
A hiveminded swarm of people going to a social media site because it's trending on Twitter? All that tells me is that I'll see a bunch of people hiveminding it up somewhere else.

I HATE, I viscerally HATE, being presented with the same dull dumb ideas constantly.
I crave innovation, I crave ingenuity, I crave genuine originality.

I didn't hate the new Star Wars trilogy because of the SJW-ness bullshit, rife with it as it was. I hated it for the same reason that I hated JJ Abrams Star Trek.

THERE WAS NOTHING NEW. THERE WAS NOTHING FRESH.
Force Awakens was A New Hope with a sloppy layer of fresh paint, just like the second JJ Star Trek was Wrath of Khan with a sloppy layer of fresh paint.

People pushing Parler now are using the EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS that was used when the hot topic was 'GET ON GAB!'
I do everything I can to avoid talking about the same thing twice.

I'm constantly searching out new fresh information so that I can share that freshness when I talk about something.

That means, by definition, I must buck trends. I must see trends, and avoid them.
Half the reason I have the #fudgerule is because EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT whatever the hot fucking topic of the day as dictated by the MSM is, for 2 days, then they drop it. INEVITABLY.

The #fudgerule is my excuse to not talk about it, so I don't have to fucking deal with it.
I'm going to be honest here: it is getting harder and harder to see fresh, new, thought-provoking things on Twitter.

Social Media, it's killing our brains, but not for the reason that people think it does.
It is killing our brains because social media's current paradigm is to inevitably push everyone into talking about the exact same shit. Trends are destroying our originality, our brains, our souls, because we just get yanked along from one argument to the next like river rapids.
Where the fuck are modern day agoras? Social media should have been it, but original thoughts are being fucking suffocated by a teeming mass of mediocrity, original thoughts drowned out by 'OMG LOOK AT <insert msm article here>'

OUR PUBLIC DISCOURSE IS BEING DRIVEN BY FAILURES
Why do we allow journalists who are quite possibly the dumbest fucking people on the planet to drive our discourse?

Why do we allow the trend lists to dictate what we have to talk about?

Fuck the trends. No I don't give a fuck that Amazon went full climatard with an arena name.
No, I don't give a fuck about the Dicks Chicks! I didn't even realize they were still a fucking active band! I haven't heard one bit of originality out of them or country music in general since I heard a country song the first time! Why the fuck would I be interested in that?
And now I need to go to PARLER because it's trending?

No.

No, I'm not going to go.

If I end up just fucking talking to myself then fine, I'll gather knowledge for myself for my own sake. I haven't given a fuck one way or the other. I remain shocked that anyone follows me.
But until I can see some fucking proof that I stumble across of my own accord, rather than some individual's snapshot that ignores the rest of the teeming morass, that there is a legitimate interesting discussion that occurs over on Parler, I'm just not interested.
Why would I want to be bored on Twitter AND Parler? And if Twitter ultimately fails me, there's nothing I've seen so far that indicates Parler would be any better.
Twitter's censorship stifles conversations, sure, but that's overt censorship, if anything it makes it easier to find interesting ideas. Find out what you can't talk about, and you'll find what you want to read, is how I see it.
But the most pernicious, the most subtle, the most deceptively benign way of subduing thought is by the crowd.

The crowd doesn't know when its burying interesting ideas.

The crowd doesn't know when originality has been drowned out.

Because the crowd is just noise.
That's all I'm saying here.

I don't like noise.

I like quiet contemplation.

I'm sure as fuck not going to a place where the only promise they've made is a bunch of noise.
