@EricWolfson @Peggynoonannyc 5/ of history and historical pattern, we may yet fulfill the visions and hopes of the founding purpose of America... To have a nation "so constituted" empowered by an informed public, who are devoted to the founding principles of humanity and abundant life.

@EricWolfson @Peggynoonannyc 6/ Lincoln, as often is the case, understood the times. How the choice was presented in his times, &now, how that same choice, albeit in very different forms, is before us again.
We wonder if "that nation, or any nation so conceived, can long endure".

It is the abiding question.
