So today, I came across this thread where public donation is being solicited by an apparently well-meaning Nigerian, to serve as "reward" to Mr. Chidiebere Ogbonna for his magnanimity, some days ago.
Mr. Ogbonna, is the kind man who returned the 1.8million Naira that he found inside the carton of indomie which he bought for his children.
According to reports, the owner of the store where he bought the carton of indomie was stacking money made from sales inside one of the Indomie cartons in order to protect himself from robbers, but unknown to him, he sold the wrong carton to Mr. Ogbonna.
This happened in Enugu.
In a show of gratitude, the store-owner pledged a free supply of indomie to Mr. Ogbonna's family for the next six months.
Now, Mr. Ogbonna is about to go down in history as a "begi begi".
In respect to what he did, I wonder how anyone would even dream about appealing for donations from the public on his behalf, like he is a charity case? Making a joke out of such noble act.
Really, If money was all that mattered to him, he would have kept the carton of money rather than return it to the owner.
For what its worth though, Money isn't the only reward system available.
What happened to conferring on him a national award for honesty or still, awarding scholarship to one of his children?
And to consider in the least, that Mr.Ogbonna's story is not even getting the hype it deserves especially at a time when HushPuppi, Invictus Obi and their kind are repping us badly in the international community. 😓

The 'riots' or the war, led by women of the provinces of Calabar and Owerri in the former colonial South-East Nigeria, became known as the Aba women's riot of 1929 in British colonial history, or the women's war in Igbo history.
Thread...
Thousands of Igbo women organized a massive protest to revolt against the rumored taxation of women, and other policies imposed by the British colonial administration upon the South-East region.
The 'war' lasted between November and December 1929, and it took the British
government months to suppress. A total of 50 women were killed, 50 others were injured, but they did not relent until their demands were met.
💥Dear Future Husband💥
I have been bruised, burned, abused. I have been told I am worthless and weak and have felt hands on my face that were far less than gentle. I share this with you for two reasons:
One, as a advance apology if I am unintentionally clumsy with your love.I have been shot with bullets of hate and contempt while being told “this is love,” so if I still flinch when you reach to graze the hair out of my face- it is not you, it is the gunshot residue.
Two. I know you have been hurt before, too. I pray not in the way or amount that I have been, but a simple and inevitable fact of life and love is this- shit happens, people hurt.
