Today's Supreme Court decision on the Louisiana abortion law (June Medical Services LLC v Russo) is a severe disappointment for #prolife advocates and for women's health across the nation. foxnews.com/politics/scotu…
The Court grossly overreached into a sovereign state's right to set policy and health guidelines for its citizens, while continuing to shield a fatally flawed precedent from Roe v Wade.
Because of today's tragic ruling, more babies will be murdered, and more women may potentially be at risk due to the lowered standard of treatment they may receive at abortion facilities.
This ruling is another disaster from Chief Justice John Roberts.
Republican Presidents must do more to vet their Supreme Court nominees to ensure that these potential justices will not legislate from the bench, but will uphold and defend the text of the Constitution of the United States as it was originally intended by our Founders.
We must change the vetting for judicial nominations before our courts destroy the fabric of our nation's foundation.

THREAD: Last night, the House passed 3 individual appropriations bills for the first time in a long time.
This brings our total individual appropriations bills passed to 4 for FY24.
These bills account for nearly 3/4 of the total discretionary spending in our budget.
🧵2/12:
I supported all 4 of these bills on the House floor:
1. MilCon and VA (Passed in July) 2. Department of Defense 3. Homeland Security 4. State and Foreign Operations
🧵3/12:
Individual appropriations bills would ensure transparency in the federal government’s spending instead of continuing to spend at irresponsible levels.
A CR would extend those levels set by Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer in the Omnibus rammed through the House last year.
The American people want us to turn a page. They do not want excuses or performance art, they want action and results.
The promised red wave turned into a loss of the United States Senate, a razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives, and upset losses of premiere political candidates.
My bid to run for Speaker is about changing the paradigm and the status quo. Minority Leader McCarthy does not have the votes needed to become the next Speaker of the House and his speakership should not be a foregone conclusion.
The impeachment of President Trump, one week before he relinquishes power, does what Democrats wrongfully claim President Trump did on 1/6. It pours gas on the smoldering embers, which consists of tens of millions who have serious doubts about the integrity of our elections.
Leftists believe that impeaching the President for a second time will destroy Trump’s remodel of the Republican Party.
This new movement is defined by Trump’s America first policies that gave us a roaring economy, Middle East stability & peace, kept us out of any new wars while rebuilding the military, strengthened the U.S. position in trade agreements, and against our adversaries.
The Capitol attack was shameful & despicable, & all Republicans, including President @realDonaldTrump, have denounced the violence we experienced.
Democrats are using the Capitol breach to once again try to take out the President, just a few days before he will leave office.
@realDonaldTrump Democrats have called for the President’s removal pursuant to the 25th Amendment.
When that fails, as it surely will, Democrats have promised to rush a second impeachment of the president. They hope to destroy the political movement he has created by destroying its leader.
@realDonaldTrump Democrats have hated @realDonaldTrump since before he pulled off the shocking presidential upset in 2016 over a corrupt Democrat nominee.
I unequivocally oppose this brewing impeachment plot.
Today is the 229th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights to the U.S. Constitution.
Our founders understood that our rights come from God, not from men; and that government exists to protect those God-given rights, NOT to usurp them.
We have seen these rights under assault in recent decades, but more so this year w/ the COVID-19 hysteria. Americans have the power to rise up & reclaim our rights before it is too late. Will we answer the call? Or will we be content to see gov’t strip away our sacred rights.
