PS/ Again, this is just my personal opinion, and it's a comment equally directed to *every one* of the thousands of colleges and universities—and dare I say it, even elementary and middle and high schools—in the United States. This virus *does not know state or regional borders*.
PS2/ In Proof of Corruption, I detail a number of studies to establish why COVID-19 is much more contagious in closed, crowded, indoor spaces where people congregate at length. Upshot: the CDC distancing guidelines are a *floor*. And Trump is convincing folks to ignore even that.
PS3/ One thing colleges and universities are doing that is smart is that even schools planning to resume face-to-face instruction acknowledge that they must and will respond to public health data in real time, as August could look *very* different from late June—maybe much worse.
