Markets are ranging in the last 2 weeks and there are predictions about mkt moving down or up. After a contraction, the expansion has to happen - we all know that but we dont know when 😃

Mkt movements, returns and volatility are cyclical in nature

We also have a bunch of traders who spend a lot of time trying to figure out why price moves. It feels good intellectually right?

But, we have analysts for that. Leave the intellectual mumbo-jumbo (verbal diarrhea) to those paid for their words and not their deeds.

Focus all your energy exclusively on 'what' the price is doing. Remember, we are traders. A trader does not get paid to understand or explain why something has happened? 😃

As soon as we make a prediction about where the mkt is going, we sacrifice our freedom

We lose the freedom of changing trading positions if the trade is a loser. This is where SL removal/other things prop up (it all started from that simple innocuous prediction) & eventually acct goes belly up

One does not need to be good at predicting to do well in trading (4/6)

If mkt predictions can cause trading related errors(assuming the intention is to trade and make money...not just analysis 😊, why bother with predicting in the 1st place?

Predicting and 'why the move hpnd' are 2 things a trader should avoid like a plague (at any cost)

Bottomline - prediction leads to conviction in one's trade & more accts have been blown due to conviction than any other trading related demons

Strive to be a trader if you are into trading. Mixing up analyst role while trading can prove very costly 😊
