The connection to #prostitution in these murders is not flimsy: It's definite. The most likely killer of a woman in legal prostitution (and semi-legal or illegal prostitution, because they co-exist here, frequently in the same spaces) is a buyer or a pimp. That's a fact.

I want to know why the cases of women murdered in France, Canada and the 1 case in Sweden (where the killer was neither a pimp, nor sex buyer, nor the location a brothel) get such a level of publicity and these hundreds of women and a handful of transwomen and men are forgotten?
No matter your views on #prostitution law: The vast majority of murders of women in the trade are committed by sex buyers & pimps and they frequently catch their victims in vulnerable situations because they are in prostitution, because they get them alone in apartments and cars.
If you think the murders of women in #prostitution by sex buyers and pimps are isolated cases and don't impact women's daily life, please explain why "work place advice" pamphlets handed out to women by pro #prostitution orgs (👇 TAMPEP) include advice such as this:
