Attorneys for #BreonnaTaylor's family have just filed a massive request for evidence in her wrongful death lawsuit. I'll thread some of it here. For example, they again want information about now fired #LMPD Officer Brett Hankison allegedly disappearing after the shooting. ImageImage
And they want to know if any of the officers involved in the fatal shooting were given a drug and/or alcohol test. Image
Also in this new batch of docs are letters from the feds & FBI denying the release of evidence because of the ongoing investigation. The letters are written to LMPD's current chief.
"The federal investigation of this matter is ongoing, and no prosecutorial decision has been made" ImageImage
Attorneys for #BreonnaTaylor's family have also requested "communications with US Postal inspectors and other government agencies regarding packages being sent to Breonna Taylor." This info was used to get warrant

Attorneys also requesting all information the Louisville Merit Board has on officers involved in the shooting. Remember, Hankison was on the board, elected three times by fellow officers. Had his own discipline case come up before board while a member

There are several requests related to @LMPD's no-knock warrant of Taylor's home, including "all documents, communications and other items (such as recordings via audio or video) that establish that the
officers gave notice of their identities and purpose before
entering" ImageImage

NEW: Louisville police included multiple lies in request for Breonna Taylor search warrant, former detective admits
wdrb.news/3TPye9u
Former @LMPD Det. Joshua Jaynes and his partner, Kelly Goodlett, had a "gut feeling" that a suspected drug dealer was using Breonna Taylor's home to store drugs and money. But when the evidence they were looking for proved to be false, they used it anyway.
Kelly Goodlett, who has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy, went along with the false info because she "had been ostracized early in her career for attempting to report a fellow officer's use of excessive force, so she decided not to call Det. Jaynes out on this lie"

Former @LMPD Det. Brett Hankison has a hearing in U.S. District Court this morning regarding his attorney status. He currently does not have one. He is one of 4 former officers charged in connection with the fatal raid on Breonna Taylor’s home.
Background: wdrb.com/wdrb-investiga…
Hankison says he is going to retain three attorneys. One local.
One is Stew Mathews, who represented him in the state criminal case, in which he was acquitted.
Said he undertook a "nationwide" search to find an attorney, conducting interviews.

Defense attorneys asking judge to prohibit prosecution from telling jurors Roger Burdette was watching porn when wreck occurred. Says there is a “social stigma” with porn and prosecution just needs to prove he was distracted. Type of video not important, defense argues
Prosecution argues it’s important to prove Burdette went searching for the specific porn, which was something he had watched before, and that he was not listening to the dialogue.
Defense says “who cares if it was a favorite?”
Judge says porn is a visual medium so unless Aaron Sorkin wrote this particular film, it is a greater distraction than a typical movie. So he allows prosecution to tell jurors Burdette was watching pornography.

New docs claim former Adidas exec. Chris Rivers paid the family of Zion Williamson & other athletes by laundering money from Adidas through another company he controls. For example, Rivers allegedly made payments to an Ashley Furniture store credit account held by Zion's stepdad
Brian Bowen's attorneys claim Rivers used his company "In Your Eye Sports" to transfer thousands of dollars via bank wires to the parents of many athletes, including Zion Williamson, when he was an amateur high school basketball player at Spartanburg Day School.
The new docs allege Rivers worked with a former high school principal who is now an associate superintendent of the Clark County, Nevada public school system to launder bribe money to targeted teens

Attorney Steve Romines, who now represents Ronnie O'Bannon, tells judge "every factor in this case" dictates that O'Bannon's bond should be lowered.
Most important thing, he said, is "there is no dispute" victim attacked O'Bannon with a champagne bottle. He did respond.
The two were separated when the woman attacked O'Bannon again. "He defended himself."
Romines said he probably should not have been charged in the first place.

NEW: @LMPD was told no 'suspicious' packages were sent to Breonna Taylor's home, according to an internal police investigation.
wdrb.news/36lQQYo
Shively police Sgt. Timothy Salyer said after he read the warrant affidavit, he asked Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly about it.
“Sgt. Mattingly stated he told Detective Jaynes there was no package history at that address,” Salyer told investigators.
At least 4 officers were told there was no packages of interest going to Taylor's home. Still, even a month after Taylor's death, Det. Det. Joshua Jaynes was asking Salyer about packages. Salyer "was confused as to why Det. Jaynes contacted him almost a month after the shooting"
