This pic was 2004-5.I cannot recollect the man on the extreme right of first row and the one on immediate right of Shaukat Aziz. Replace Shaukat Aziz with Imran Khan and the rest of them are all,supposedly,making Naya Pakistan as well as fighting the status quo together in 2020 
These status quo super stars represent the many more status quo stalwarts who too are now in the PTI for fighting the ‘status quo’ and for bringing about a New Pakistan even after 15years of this picture ie in 2020.I am a team man and not a taker of the argument ’leader matters’
Status quo means stagnancy and thus it has to give way to dynamism and reformatory politics.The present ‘anti status quo warriors’ who infiltrated the PTI are not the people who can remove that stagnancy.PTI could have given it a try but it too fell a victim to the status quo
I joined PTI with the hope that it shall be a political entity that will not succumb and itself become a part of the status quo. By late 2012,the status quo stampede into the PTI made me realize it was not going to be so and I quitely left in early 2013.I wasn’t wrong.
I had a close equation with the now PM Imran Khan.We travelled to jalsas together and met often. I vividly remember having mentioned to him that all those who are joining him are mostly reviving their careers and that it was they who needed him not him needing them.
Status quo has,now,effectively taken over the PTI to make it stand in line with the other traditional political parties of Pakistan.There is no difference at all.Effectively,PTI can now neither make a Naya Pakistan nor can it neutralize the status quo for a new order. Impossible.
In the end, let me say that I couldn’t care less who does a lot of work to make Pakistan a progressive and developing modern State.If PTI is upto the challenge I will applaud it but so far one doesn’t find much to aplaud. Next few months will be crucial for,both,PTI and Pakistan
