Step-by-Step guide for an international Architect to Canada.

As always, before I begin, I’d like to make it clear that:

- Not everyone will go to Canada.
- Not everyone should go to Canada
- Not everyone can go to Canada

and this is in no way persuading anyone to, but if you have to here's info that can help.

Might be helpful to know some of the provinces where Architects are in high demand:

- Manitoba
- Ontario
- Saskatchewan
- Quebec

Also, here are some of the roles and titles of Architects:

-Architect
-Chief architect
-Architect, residential buildings
-Consulting architect
-Architectural standards specialist
-Residential architect
-Industrial and commercial buildings architect

1. Get Accredited

An international Architect has three options to get accredited:

-CACB Academic Certification: tinyurl.com/yc5wg52o

- BEFA Certification: tinyurl.com/ya9pdedc and
- RAIC Syllabus: tinyurl.com/ya86mgv3

The CACB route is usually the less stressful and the most common. You will:

-Complete an application form
-Get transcripts showing your grades
-Get Copy of your certificates
-Show University Calendar describing your architecture program & the content of every course.

-List of design projects you completed during your architecture program
-Portfolio of academic design. (Not mandatory but definitely recommended in order to expedite the process.)
-Format your application to be 8½ x 11″ to 11″ X 17″ folded into 8½ X 11”.
