Breathtaking-The Kailash Temple😯

There are many temples in the world which are known for their beauty. But there is a temple in India which has stood for 100 of years with its beauty in many secrets.

Yes!! We are talking about Kailash Temple, ellora, Maharashtra
@LostTemple7
Ellora caves are considered to be the most ancient, it is 34 stone cut caves and also an ancient temple. This temple is not built by joining stones like our other temples but it is built by cutting the same single rock from top to bottom.
If we see any other caves of the world, it is made by cut from outside to inside, which is 'cut-in monolith technique'.
But to make Kailash Temple, the rock has been cut from top to bottom, which is called 'cut-out monolith technique'. Which is very difficult & complex process.
According to research this temple is not normal. There is a secret cave under the temple but common people not allowed there. A tunnel that leads to the underground city. According to archeologists, to build this by cutting a rock, 4lac tons of stone must have been cut from here.
We can also see 'Water draining system' for rain water in this Temple.

Also, the bridge, staircase has been installed here with such beauty make us surprise that even when it is man-made, as it cannot be installed later.
Mughal ruler Aurangzeb had made a strong attempt to vandalise the Kailash Temple, but he was unable to get much success in his plan. All he could do was a minor damage here & there but not to the main structure.
Every sculpture and carving of this temple depicts diff pauranik ep.
There are panels depicting scenes of Ramayan & Mahabharat. One of the most elaborate structure is that of Ravana uplifting mount Kailash.
While there are no written records, scholars generally attributed to the Rashtrakuta king Krishna l, who ruled from abt 756 to 773 CE.
Desert attribution is based on the several epigraphs that connect the temple to Krishna raja.

The artista designed the Kailasa temple to resemble the abode to god Shiva, Mount Kailasa.
It represents mount kailasa, the Himalayan abode of shiva.
