Bateswar temples are a group of nearly 200 sandstone temples & their ruins in chambal Valley, M.P. in post-Gupta, early Gurjar-Pratihara style of North Indian temple architecture. They are dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Shakti. The Bateshwar temples were built b/w 8th & 10th-century. It is also referred to as Batesvar temples site or Batesara temples site. The temples were destroyed after the 13th century. Bateshwar was notified by @ASIGoI as a protected site in 1920.
