Congratulations to the new wigs as you’ve passed the bar exams! Super excited to hear it!

This thread is for those that are downcast by their results; those that need consoling as they equally celebrate.

I know your fears and I’ll be very honest with you in all I say.
What makes it hurt the most is the media and you’ve realised that social media doesn’t care about “failures”.

You did not make your desired grade and you can now clearly see that you may not get the attention.

But this celebration is a trap and not many can keep up.
Success is like a magic trick. You make a card disappear, it fascinates them, they want you to do it over and over and over and over again, till it becomes banal. Then they expect a more spectacular trick. Or they leave for more spectacular ones.
I know that you feel you’ve failed yourself and so many others. Clearly, they can’t celebrate much with you. I cannot tell you how not to hurt, but I can guarantee that this euphoria is short-lived.

Value is inherent. Start to think about how to shine yours.
You think you may not get a good job anymore. Your opportunities are cut short. It is not necessarily true. To be honest with you, it won’t be easy and none of life is, but it is easier when you embrace this reality quickly.

Become hungrier and run faster.
And trust me, I know how hard it is to convince yourself that you’re smart or “ worthy” when it seems like you have disappointed many people.

You’ll overcome it by every single positive step you take forward. Start. Repair, replenish and rebuild.
Start applying earlier than everyone else. Start upgrading your skill sets. Complement your grades. Sorrow is irresistible and it could shrink you under its weight for too long, but the time won’t stop ticking.

This is where failing starts from. Wasting time.
The best thing you can do for yourself right now is to forgive yourself and understand that time heals.

Also understand that you now have your life in your hands. Don’t ruin it out of fear and despair. If you do, it would still be your life anyway.
You can get a decent job. Like the rest of us, you’ll wake up months from now and your grades won’t matter. Begin to look forward to it. Hold on to the beauty of how time unites us in common misery and struggle and balances out our differences.
Understand that everything you see has a delicate balance. Today you weep, tomorrow I do and we all have our fair share, just not at the same time. But no one escapes it.

Focus on the strengths you have and show them with uncompromising opulence.
You’ll be down for days, maybe weeks. I can’t tell you to stop feeling bad. I can assure you that someday you’ll wake up and get tired of this feeling.

And it will not be too late; for any time you wake up is your morning.
Like dandelion seeds blowing in the wind, if we allow ourselves to be swept up with courage and inspiration, life can take us to so many astounding and character-changing places.

Confront the brutal truths about your reality with courage and you’ll be on track. Always.
Congratulations, once again! As my friend, @OyikiGreat would say, we are a personification of dreams, goals and achievements, trapped in times; times that await our reach.
