1. A friend on this street of @TwitterNG based in America called me while having a nice with friends late evening yesterday to register his displeasure over my anti @OfficialAPCNg stance on #EdoDecides2020 . He warned I might lose respect if @OfficialAPCNg eventually wins .

2. My specific response to him was I am not a card carrying member of @OfficialAPCNg ,secondly I am nt anti @OfficialAPCNg nor pro @OfficialPDPNig & thirdly I don't av any intention currently of joining any political party despite my intention to pick up a card in @OfficialAPCNg

3. Earlier this year.
I am a Buharist and like most Buharist I know are independent minded and speak truth to power no matter the circumstances .
My stand in the political situation in #EdoDecides2016 is it has again exposed our political system and an urgent need to develop a

4. System that works effectively to grow political parties ,ideologies and deepen internal democratic norms in political parties which is a vehicle we use in driving democracy in Nigeria.
France ,Germany, Britian & Isreal all practice diffrent kind of parliamentary system that

5. Suits them. We as Nigeria can tailor our constitution towards developing a system that prevents politicians from changing political parties all because of personal benefits and not service.
If we must grow our democracy which we treasure, something urgent needs to be done.

6. In my quite time, I wonder who is a progressive ?
Who is an activist ?
Who is an influencer ?
What is the Truth ?
What is propaganda ?
Who is a patriot ?
The answers to the above questions has failed me when I take time to reflect on the happenings & reaction of people to

7. Critical national issues regarding politics ,corruption ,ethnicity and religion.
On the #EdoDecides2016 like I have stated on this street, the Edo voters are very sophisticated and know who they can trust to build the state to that enviable position the dream of come Sept 19th

8. Ize-Iyamu got massive votes from the people of Edo when he contested against a dark horse and a relatively unknown @GovernorObaseki in 2016 .
@GovernorObaseki victory was a vote for the continuation of the foundation laid by @A_Oshiomhole .
Question is has he built well on it?

9. The response to the question of if @GovernorObaseki has built on the foundation solid handed to him by @A_Oshiomhole will be the prerogative of the sophisticated voters of Edo to determine .
I reside in Benin City and I vote in Benin city with all due respect, I will say YES.

10. The circumstances surrounding the crisis that led to @GovernorObaseki and @A_Oshiomhole pathing ways which snowballed into him losing party nomination is another topic for another day depending on where you stand .
Both men are two eggoccentric and stubborn human with pride.

12. Hence, what is playing out in #EdoDecides2020 is not about @OfficialAPCNg or @OfficialPDPNig but two eggoccentric men who are testing their powers and influence with @PastorIzeIyamu unfortunately caught in the middle of this show of strength.

13. Ize-Iyamu remaining in @OfficialPDPNig instead of decamping to @OfficialAPCNg given him a brighter and easy chance to clinch the seat in 2020?
I will say YES because the crisis would have made APC weak ,@GovernorObaseki would av moved to another party without strong structure

14.@OfficialAPCNg will shop for another candidate with @PastorIzeIyamu being the @OfficialPDPNig & @GovernorObaseki maybe the candidate of AA or XYZ party.
There was a lot of sympathy @PastorIzeIyamu enjoyed frm Edo voters in 2016 ,one was how he was chased out of @OfficialAPCNg

15. Same played out in 2015 when then Matthew Uroghide was forced out of AC/ACN and his Senate ticket for Edo South was handed over to a PDP decampee, Sen.Uzamere by @A_Oshiomhole .
Sen. Matthew Uroghide got a sympathy vote, defeated Serving Senator Uzamere by a wide margin .

16. Rep Patrick Obahigbon a serving @OfficialPDPNig house of Rep member, decamped to AC/ACN and was favoured to clinch the ticket by @A_Oshiomhole ,but was humilated by party faitfuls who knew the sacrifices of Hon Bello-Osagie for the party . Hon Bello-Osagie won the election.

17. My point here is ,Edo people will vote in September 19th for the best candidate that fits their vision.
@asorockk should ensure all security agencies abide by rules and @inecnigeria get it acts right so that they replicate the 2012 peaceful election that ushered in Comrade .

18. In that election,the Will of the people prevailed with no bullet or tear gas fired as confirmed by the Commissioner of Police & the Brigade Commander in Edo State.
It was rumoured our revered Oba of Benin told @GEJonathan who assured him that he won't temper with Edo election

19. To let the Will of the people prevail and be respected no matter the outcome .
The Traditional Institution in Edo led by the Oba of Benin is not partisan and does not dabble into politics ,but always crave for those in authority to abide by electorial rules and laws.

20. As #EdoDecides2016 ,we appeal to @MBuhari as C-in-C instruct all the security agencies not to allow themselves to be used by politicians so the Will of Edo will prevail.
I wish @GovernorObaseki, @PastorIzeIyamu and most importantly, my good people of Edoland Goodluck.
