PS2/ More seriously—it's amazing that we've come to a point in time when the president can in *vivid detail* describe a movement that doesn't exist, and his fanatic loyalists will find one anecdote that justifies letting themselves be lied to about that vividly described movement
PS3/ Worst of all is their *smugness* at being duped by a con man, as when they parade around this *one weird case in Portland* they're waving the flag of being morons like it's the Red Flag of Revolution, all to avoid acknowledging Trump lied about a movement sweeping the nation
PS4/ There's even a Daily Caller blogger *so confident* in the inability of Trumpists to reason that he's hailing as the unraveling of a conspiracy that I write columns for Newsweek—which publishes hundreds of stories a week— and didn't see Newsweek wrote on the Portland incident
PS5/ And I don't know what's wrong with me that I *still assume* this Daily Caller blogger is smart enough to know how god-awful *disingenuous* that "aha!" moment is, rather than just using everything I know about the DC and its readers to assume he's troglodyte-level intelligent
