1\ There's a more subtle problem with Affirmative Action

The perception is that an AA admission to UCSF is someone who otherwise wouldn't have gone to medical school

But this is wrong.

Let me explain why...
2\ UCSF is the #6 ranked medical school in the US

Now, UCSF will still admit the most qualified applicant who meets their relaxed racial standards

So they will admit someone who otherwise would have gone to, say, to MIT medical school (#7 ranked)

topuniversities.com/university-ran…
3\ But MIT, of course, is engaged in the same racial quotas. With their candidate now going to UCSF, they will lower their standards to admit someone who otherwise would have gone to Columbia (#8 ranked)

And so on, down the line of colleges...
4\ The result is a systematic mismatching of students with workloads. All up and down the rankings, AA admissions find themselves in classes that move too quickly.

They learn less, get worse grades, and may drop out:
5\ And if they don't drop out, Affirmative Action admissions are more likely to "drop into" the soft sciences (English, African American studies, etc.)
6\ Like all attempts to pretend that statistical differences in groups do not reflect aptitude, Affirmative Action ends up hurting the very people it seeks to help

All the while sowing discord among those it displaces, & creating well-founded suspicion of undeserved credentials
