I’m in Salem Oregon for the opposing BLM and Proud Boy protests.
Approaching the crowd now on the Proud Boy side.
Police standing in between BLM protesters and some Proud Boy/4th of July/BLM counterprotesters on the steps of the Capital Building.
A Black Lives Matter crowd with some folks giving speeches across the street from the Proud Boy group.
A bit of one of the speech’s on the BLM side of the protest in Salem.
The police trying to get in between some Proud Boys and anti-fascists.
Somebody with a “Q” sign (who declined to be photographed) started crying at the sight of an American Flag that had been spray painted on. #4thofJuly#salem#salemoregon#oregon
This seems to be the bulk of the Proud Boy group left over, they’re preparing to march somewhere.
A small BLM group has advanced onto the steps of the Capital Building, the police are trying to keep the July 4th/All Lives Matter group and the BLM group separate.
Looks like the last of the All Lives Matter/Proud Boy group has left the Capitol Building area.

The movie is directed, written, produced, and starring the Daily Wire's CEO Jeremy Boreing as a former high school basketball coach, pictured below with a horrible Tony Stark goatee.
Matt Walsh plays a woke hippie liberal who has cucked Jeremy Boreing.
Walsh isn't a great actor, black hole of charisma. He can only do deadpan delivery so watching him play a sincere hippie leftist is just uncanny... Jeremy plays the most divorced man, which he pulls off ok.
Around 300 people are marching from the King Center to the Atlanta Police Foundation in opposition to Cop City. The event is organized by @CommunityMvt with other local Black lead activist groups. Massive police presence in the area, crowd is sticking to the sidewalk for now.
People took the streets after marching on the sidewalk. In response the police set up a riot line a few blocks ahead, next to a building with Stop Cop City messages projected on the side. After briefly facing down the police riot line the march moved back onto the sidewalk.
Hundreds of Stop Cop City protesters have arrived at the Atlanta Police Foundation headquarters. A few dozen officers stand in front, some holding AR style rifles. The situation is tense. The people are simply staring down the cops and chanting on the sidewalk.
At this protest in downtown Atlanta. Around 300 people are currently gathered here holding signs, sharing stories of Tortuguita. I’m mostly recording audio, but will provide some written updates here.
After a small scuffle with PSL there is now a large march heading north in downtown. Banners at the front that read “They Can’t Kill Us All” and “Trees Give Life, Police Take It.” Lots of “Stop Cop City” chants & “Not One More.” Current chant “If they build it, we will burn it.”
Protesters hit the Atlanta Police Foundation headquarters and a few banks in the area with fireworks and broken windows. Two cop cars had their windows smashed, and then tons of Atlanta police officers arrived from multiple directions. At least a dozen arrests so far.
Vigil tonight in Weelaunee People’s Park for Tortuguita, the forest defender killed by police in Atlanta on Wednesday.
People gathered shared memories of Tortuguita. Many spoke of it’s kindness and solidarity with struggles across the south.
Many songs were sung alongside screams of rage. Tortuguita left a tag on the guitar being played. It’s a bit faded but there’s a little doodle of a cat face next to “All Cats Are Beautiful.”
My beloved cat Chairman Meow died suddenly this morning. I got them to help with ptsd after summer 2020. Chairman Meow was the most affectionate cat I’ve ever know, and caused immense destruction to my landlord’s property.
