I take anti anxiety meds as my panic attacks are crippling. I can’t take birth control because they fuel depression in me. I can’t function while on certain meds and can’t function without certain meds.

Hormone therapy is essential for mental health for many.

I’ve had anxiety my entire life. It’s not lazy to recognize an imbalance in body chemistry.

You’re a disgrace to women @jk_rowling.

You do far more damage than good. I’m ashamed that I’ve supported your work. You need mental help. I hope you get it as you’re becoming a monster.

Your oppressive rhetoric... because of your station in life... is being used to hurt trans women.

You are no expert in womanhood anymore than Donald Trump is in compassion.

Sit down. Read books other than your own...preferably science ones as you’re ignorant on that. Be quiet.

Some are saying the tweet is stating that it’s the doctors who prescribe hormones instead of dealing with mental illness and are lazy

Let’s take a moment to unpack that statement and explore it with this in mind.

This tweet was an attack on trans people in either interpretation

It is also an attack on people w/mental illness

@jk_rowling is transphobic. Now she’s seemingly supporting calling trans people mentally ill for not accepting their genitals as their gender

At the same, the tweet is insulting mental health issues where meds are first prescribed

In either interpretation of this tweet whether calling people w/mental health issues lazy or their doctors lazy for having prescription meds...it’s a double attack on trans people and those w/mental illness.

@jk_rowling is disgusting for promoting the tweet author on her twitter

JK perpetuates every transphobic and ignorant statement used to oppress them.

Now @jk_rowling is bringing mental illness into her bigotry.

Get some help, JK. You’ve got issues with men not trans women. You clearly have unresolved trauma. Stop hurting other people bc of it.
