I had some serious problems with what Trevor said in this clip. I decided a thread would be need to do my thoughts justice.

This clip is about Trevor’s track record and ‘*The Tesla CULT*’!

Enjoy!
Social media ‘culture’ can be both amazing and pretty disgusting. That is true.

His idea of these ‘keyboard warriors’ does exist but it’s by the far the minority and I don’t think any $TSLA fan is like that.

All the same, let’s move on.
Trevor next talks about baseball batting averages. This is a complete false equivalence!

Entrepreneurship has about as much in common with baseball as chess has in common with having a wank! You can’t compare them!

The fact that Trevor will use such logical fallacies so openly
and people will gladly buy it has me very worried about humanity!
‘There’s a lot of good about the Tesla cult and there’s a lot of bad about the Tesla cult, and they all know this as well. It’s very vocal inside the Tesla community.’

What. A. Bunch. Of. Shit!

The Tesla fandom isn’t perfect, ok. But what fandom is? I will not accept this crap!
First of all, I do not take the label of ‘cult’ lightly. Cults are very damaging to society and to the individuals in the cult. Cults allow perverted people do do truly disgusting things. Mormonism is a cult. Even in jest, I hate it when Tesla is called a ‘cult’!
Let’s look at some cult tactic though and see how Tesla and Nikola stack up.

As you can see from this ‘BITE’ model to identify cults, Tesla isn’t that bad. Fact is though, that Trevor uses a lot of cult tactics when talking. In addition to some of these, Trevor also has a major
persecution narrative, a tactic very effective in mind-washing someone into a cult. His claim that there is a paid, organised effort to tarnish his company’s reputation is frankly bullshit! Most of us aren’t even short!

Nikola is far more culty than Tesla!
And as for there being vocal problems in the community, this idea of ‘toxic fans’, I say horseshit! People like Fred Lambert and Value Analyst May insist there are toxic fans but my experience has only ever been of a healthy, funny and loving group. I’m sure if you ask any of the
big pro-Tesla Twitter accounts if they think there is a problem with toxic fans, the vast, vast majority would say ‘no’ as their serious answer. This whole idea of toxic fans has been blown out of all proportions by a few Tesla detractors and is, as I see it, completely false!
Ok, moving on.

Trevor then claims that Tesla fans say that Trevor has failed two companies out of 5 and that they’d never trust someone with their money who had failed twice.

My first problem with this is ‘5 companies’. Those 5 are SGS Alarms (success), Upillar .com (failure),
dHybrid (fossil fuel company, failed over IP dispute), dHybrid systems (acquired by Worthington Industries) and Nikola Corporation.
However, this is inaccurate. According to a Nikola Insider, dHybrid Systems was actually Trevor’s dad, Bill Milton,‘s company. Also, Trevor has
erased all mention of Bluegentech LLC, the OG company behind ‘Nikola Motor Company’. Technically, Bluegentech was dissolved and Nikola Motor Company started as its own enterprise. The exact details of this has proved hard to find. Bluegentech was originally founded in 2012 and
Nikola apparently became its own company in 2016. Yet when you ask Trevor when Nikola Corporation was founded he says 2014! The reason for this coverup is still unknown to me but is something you should all be aware of.
Ok, semi-tangent over. As for Tesla fans not trusting a man who went bankrupt two times, would you bet your savings on a gamble like that? And by the way, Nikola’s story is not over so really it’s a 50% failure rate, not Trevor’s implied 40% failure rate.
Trevor then says he would never give his money to someone who hasn’t failed.

What!? This guys is crazy!

And then he says that if you only give your money to people who have never failed, you wouldn’t give your money to anyone.
Hahaha, well that’s VCs and Angel Investors out of a job then.
Also, hello, Elon? He’s never failed an entire company.

And this gets us on to the biggest thing: failure that you overcome and failure that kills you.

Elon has failed so many times.
The first 3 Falcon 1 launches? Failure
The first Falcon 9 landing attempts? Failure
Model 3’s trunk well thingy? Failure
Elon’s X.com days haircut? Failure

The point is, none of these failures where fatal. Even the hair came back! Elon learned from these
failures and improved his company, his products and himself afterwards. Yet not once did he make mistakes so catastrophic that his businesses went under. Elon can manage failure, Trevor cannot. That is the Tesla community’s problem.
And for the very last bit, Trevor says that very few entrepreneurs have a success rate of 60%-70%. He must be insane to say 70%, that is not Maths! And as I said, Nikola is still undetermined so it’s more like 50%.
50%? Yeah, I think most entrepreneurs can at least beat that.

Anyway, that’s all for this thread. I hope it was informative.

Farewell
I’ve just seen this. Even Trevor counts 6 businesses. (This is as recently as May last year!)
If you still don’t believe this fucker is a fraud, I don’t know how to help you!
And what was the 3rd failure? Bluegentech? I guess that explains Nikola’s very sudden shift from CNG.
