i feel quite drained now lmao but here's some highlights :3c
on creativity
on art block
on burnout, and which character i'd hug
a little bit about art style and how i got hired
some stuff about empathy and being good to work with
building on a bit to empathy thing- some thoughts on what it looks like to design characters that are easy/fun to animate
some thoughts on designing anthro characters
and lastly (at least for this thread), on getting good at art!
as much as i worked hard i think my parents' support and the freedom i had to just be in my room drawing all the time as a teen played a big part in my progression as an artist too
there a lotta other tidbits on the reddit post but ya
thanks for all the questions! im ready to sleep

iirc the 2012 piece from my annual redraw is the first thing i drew on photoshop with a tablet!
every year i try to go all out and end up feelin like "damn not sure how i'm gonna top this next time" but so far i've somehow managed to... i think....
it's definitely getting a lot harder to make huge leaps in the technical execution tho lolllll
in some ways, i find the pieces from the past few years to be more "different" than "better"
