OK, just done with initial math and spreadsheet olympics on the MAMMOTH data set about the PPP small business program we got today.

Literally lists EVERY business that got $150,000 or more (that 660,000+ businesses/line items).

Stand by while I do a few more checks.

PPP SMALL BUSINESS $:

- SBA says 51 million jobs were "supported"
- Looking at data from loans > $150,000... a total of 31 million jobs were "retained" b/c of the loans.
- The data for loans < $150,000 will take longer to process. (SBA released it in 56 diff. files.)

PPP SMALL BUS. COVID LOANS. For loans > $150,000:

- Again, 31 million jobs retained.
- 63.4 % of loans were approved in first two weeks
- At least 7.3% retained "0" jobs. (That's 48,000 loans)

STATES and PPP. And important caveat. It's not clear if this shows who was good at getting $ or which states had more business shutdowns.

But here are my calculations on where the larger loans (over $150,000 went)....

3. MA. 18,252 loans. 2.65 ptp.

5. VT. 1542 loans. 2.47 ptp.
6. NJ. 21858 loans. 2.46 ptp.
