So, we've been curating and sharing the top investment podcasts on TheIdeaFarm.com the past few years.

Now we've packed them into @Spotify playlists and sharing them w/ fintwit.

A word on methodology...in the early years, there were not as many podcasts, so I'd just email my friends year end and ask what their top 3 episodes were...

As more and more podcasts launched, it became impossible to find the truly extraordinary vs. just "good" vs. "ok".
We eventually partnered with @colby__donovan to help rate and curate these shows and he's been awesome....

That said, I think the news flow will get a lot more scary the next two weeks as the virus gets more real and personal for Americans (as we soon know someone who has it or famous people pass away).

Even more important to have a plan...

About two-thirds of stocks underperform a broad index.

About half have a zero rate of return over their lifetimes.

About a quarter essentially goto zero.

We often are biased to the ones that have survived, but this is a tiny minority.
Every day CEOs are faced with tough decisions, and they only have five levers on how to spend their cash.

1. Reinvest in the business.
2. Buy another company.
3. Pay down debt
4. Pay a cash dividend.
5. Buy back stock.

That's it. There's nothing else.
