Fun fact: a little while ago I was working on a project with NPR and it had to be dropped because according to their policy I self identified as a disability activist which makes me inherently “biased.”

Issue. I gave them other names of people who could be involved (because I wanted the story to be told either way) but I couldn’t come up with one who didn’t self identify as an activist or advocate thus proving my point.
