Extraordinary move in France against Muslim Brotherhood and political Islam today. French senate today makes what are probably Europe’s strongest recommendations against MB.
The French senate report should be a blueprint for other countries, especially Britain on dealing with political Islam. It focuses on internal Islamist movements rather than foreign Islamist movements. Time for UK Home Office to launch its own review of the Brotherhood in the UK
French senate clearly recognises the incompatibility of political Islam with the concept of nation state. Radical terrorist movements are a product of this ideology. The Muslim Brotherhood’s ultimate aim is to establish a caliphate; ISIS, Al Qaeda etc pave the way for the MB
This is the worst day for the Muslim Brotherhood in the West. In my view, it is the beginning of the end for the MB at least for their internal European work
Eagerly awaiting full report’s publication- but the details in Le Figaro this morning clearly shows how the French are taking the fight against Islamists to a new level.
Breaking (from contact now at press conference in Paris): French senate report recommends banning Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Youssef Qaradawi AND ‘those associated with his movement’ from France.
Qaradawi (a Qatari citizen) is already banned from the U.K. and US but only stopped from entering France for an event. Now French recommendation is to totally ban him and those part of his movement (that’s an unprecedented against the MB).

Worthy of note is that the report refers to sports clubs and radicalisation. Qaradawi (who has just been recommended to be banned from France) is a senior Qatari advisor to the emir of Qatar, owners of PSG.
