I woke up and realized there is a serious problem even in our own ranks. Class based activism and desperation often are in conflict with each other.

When a person of means doesnt have to feel the direct pinch of neoliberal balkanization... the down playing of the impact of genuine suffering can feel like simple "pragmatism". Its allies and haters that fall into this trap of cultural and class based elitism.

When a person sees the tsunami in their own lives and knows the biding of time is all they have short of a legislative miracle... suicide becomes a real option.

A person of privilege can only fight as an ally. They can't feel the genuine fear of destitution. They cannot fathom the fears of parents who fear for their children... they can only really at best, attempt to empathize.

And thus the "There is No Alternative" mindset that MMT seeks to destroy, whilst at times folks hunker back down politically and fall back into TINA logic. Especially as it pertains to supporting Joe Biden.

Trump was created by neoliberalism and liberal elitism.

Biden represents the same scenario Hillary Clinton represented.

I only hope the proles on the progressive side prevail.

12 years of neoliberalism is a death sentence to many of us.

Yet to others... its merely the price you have to pay to advance.

Allies... allies of privilege... remember it may nkt directly impact you... that doesn't mean it isn't impacting a father... a mother... a child you know.

An ally... just without the financial means and health profile to survive your strategy.

What is absolutely a gut punch is the silence of so many "allies"
