So the increasingly deranged Glenn Greenwald just wrote an incomprehensible screed on my association with "Russiagate" (a concept I've nothing to do with and explicitly reject) and "the Resistance" (another concept I explicitly reject). Somehow I.... ruined a movie for him? What? 
1/ I try not to engage much with Greenwald, as he hasn't read any of my books but nevertheless seems obsessed with me—stalking my feed and mentioning me often—and I find that sort of attention creepy from someone whose motivations have become completely opaque to most Americans.
2/ But here's what I do know: I am not a member of "the Resistance" and have never identified myself as such. I don't believe in that term, concept, or rhetorical framing for those who oppose this president's corruption—because that's what all honorable Americans should be doing.
3/ Greenwald calls critics of Trump's corruption members of a "movement" in order to discredit legitimate critique of the president's major-media-reported malfeasance. I'm not part of any such movement. I'm a proud American whose bio is publicly available: sethabramson.net/bio
4/ Greenwald uses the Kremlin-backed term "Russiagate" to refer to the Trump-Russia scandal—so named because the Mueller Report confirms that Trump's actions were at the heart of it. Why Greenwald is with Putin in wanting to erase Trump's name from the scandal I don't understand.
5/ The only reason Greenwald is relevant to this feed is an ironic one: because *he* stands at the head of a movement of "Russiagaters" whose ringleaders—like Matt Taibbi—quibble with my tweets instead of just reading my 3 books on Trump and their 12,000 major-media citations.
5/ I don't mind being called "deranged" or "unhinged" by Greenwald, as anyone who's read the Proof series knows you couldn't find a more somber, sober, serious set of tomes on Trump. They're political histories written like political histories. And Greenwald refuses to read them.
6/ I'm honored that @Martina Navratilova is a reader of this feed. So are thousands and thousands of journalists from around the world. I don't list my high-profile followers—but if there's a serious journalist you follow on Twitter, there's a decent chance they follow this feed.
7/ So to the extent Greenwald is trying to discredit someone by saying they follow this feed, candidly it's additional evidence that there's something wrong with him—as dozens of (for instance) White House correspondents follow this feed. And generals. And Pulitzer Prize winners.
8/ I won't go into all the ways Greenwald and Taibbi are liars. I'll just focus on the main one: they falsely claim the allegation the "left" made against Trump was that he participated in a hacking conspiracy. No—the claim, from day one, was that Putin bribed Trump. And he did.
9/ Greenwald and Taibbi don't want to talk about collusion between Trump and Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Turkey. Why? Because they extracted one sentence from the Mueller Report—about an allegation no one ever made—and they've been dining out on it for a year now.
10/ Anyone who reads this feed knows I support critiquing the media and critiquing excesses on the right *and* left. But unlike Greenwald, I also believe in well-sourced journalism—like the Proof series' 12,000 citations—and not shifting goalposts to advance some eldritch agenda.
