Big win for progressives in #TX24. Progressive Caucus + CBC + BOLD (CHC) + ASPIRE (CAPAC) + Warren Democrats and EMILY's list all backed @candacefor24 who has a double digit lead right now. More evidence that supporting candidates of color is path forward for progressives.
At the @DataProgress blog, @candacefor24 wrote about why she wants to end big money in politics: dataforprogress.org/blog/2020/7/9/…

And in @crookedmedia, @davidagordon9 and I highlighted Valenzuela as the future of the movement: crooked.com/articles/the-2…
And here's the @DataProgress poll that nailed @candacefor24's momentum after Olson was the plurality leader in the first round, first reported by @ZachMontellaro in Morning Score. politico.com/f/?id=00000173…

Progressives didn't win the Presidential primary. But downballot progressives are winning by building broad coalitions. Over the next few months, there are some key races to get progressives across the finish line. Me + @davidagordon9 survey the landscape. crooked.com/articles/the-2…
We highlight a few key races progressives should watch:
Primaries: @JamaalBowmanNY + @AlexBMorse
Open Seat: @BethDoglio + @MondaireJones + @SDGeorgette
Red to Blue: @candacefor24 + @hiral4congress

And recent victories like @TeresaForNM show the path.

crooked.com/articles/the-2…
Long story short: progressives have been more successful building broad coalitions this cycle, even for risky anti-incumbent primaries. E-List, Labor, two Senators and some enviros backed Cisneros and support for Newman was even broader.
