White nationalists, who are increasingly normalized and mainstream in US and European right-wing movements, believe that Jews are the brains of an international cabal using Black people, immigrants, feminists & LGBT to weaken & replace the white man & "European" civilization. 1/
Their main propaganda is "the replacement theory." You saw a version of this in 2018 midterms, when Trump talked about "invaders" coming in and the right insinuated it was Soros who was funding it. That dog whistle is now mainstream in the Republican Party and Europe. 2/
The consequences? At the same time, Trump was talking about invaders, Robert Bowers, an extremist, killed 11 Jews in the Tree of Life Synagogue using the exact same rationalization, seeing them as invaders. A few months later, the Christchurch terrorist killed 50+ Muslims.
The Christchurch killer left a manifesto citing The Replacement Theory. To him the invaders were Muslims. A few months later, an extremist was inspired to kill nearly 2 dozen people in El Paso. He saw Hispanics as invaders. It's all connected. Anti-Semitism and racism fuel it.
All of this is to say we are in this together and I hope marginalized communities see the main threat that is actively hostile to our security, equality, and well-being. I hope leaders from these communities can have difficult conversations and unite. We're up against Thanos.
