we have new details about today's Twitter hack. Spoke to one of the people involved in hack, they say a Twitter employee gave access. Sent screenshot of tool being used to hijack @binance

Twitter just locked my account and made me delete a tweet about how this hack worked
Earlier, Twitter told us that it was only locking accounts that posted private personal information. The screenshot I tweeted has no personal information in it and was censored, it just shows how an internal Twitter tool
We have more updates coming in a few minutes, working on them now
OK, we talked to another hacker. Were able to confirm how they got accounts: Twitter employee used internal tool to change email addresses associated with accounts. Twitter seems to have just confirmed this in tweets as well

we spoke to two hackers and we were able to independently verify they were in control of hijacked accounts today. One of them said they paid the Twitter employee to help them take over accounts; not sure on the specifics here at the moment
told this was an accident, given everything that happened at twitter today I believe it, content moderation is hard

Detroit police have been one of the most public supporters of facial recognition software. Last week, the NYTimes and ACLU told the story of Robert Julian-Borchak Williams, a man falsely arrested using facial recognition tech.
Today, Detroit's police chief revealed that the software it uses doesn't identify the correct suspect a shocking 96% of the time.

It's crucial to understand who this is used against. Detroit has regulated facial recognition use, meaning the DPD has to put out a weekly report about its use. This year, it has been used EXCLUSIVELY against Black people

Basically what has happened is a bunch of investors who do not know what they'd do should they get stuck with thousands of barrels of oil are panic selling before they get stuck with that oil at 2:30 pm today, because there is no demand for oil and no one is buying

this is not unreasonable, GE’s Healthcare division is already one of the largest manufacturers of ventilators in the country. It has also lobbied against efforts that would make them easier to repair vice.com/en_us/article/…
I need to correct my first tweet as well as the headline we used originally: workers at a GE plant and at GE HQ both protested because they want to make ventilators. They were not technically on shift when they did it, so it wasn't a "walkoff." This is my fault, I'm sorry
