hey psst. hey you. the marshmallow test did not actually test in any meaningful way for kids' actual baseline impulse control levels and instead they found that kids from food insecure backgrounds failed the test at far higher rates than food-secure kids. just a little fact

also, somethin else to remember re. the original tweet, it's only called the marshmallow test because most of the kids chose marshmallows between marshmallows and pretzels!
