In the early 21st century the House of Trump became patrons of witless tweets, tasteless television, vile insults, oafish speeches, venal commerce, backwoods science and self absorbed philosophy. One of the best works of art surviving this period is the Mona Goya.
I used to be on the board of a museum and I get that people try hard to preserve cultural treasures and talented interpretations of our era. But god help us.
Salvator Mundi sold for $450M but its a badly executed fake. Didn't matter. Hundreds of millions from an oligarch to a dictator to pay for Israel dirty trickster paid by Nader, intro'd by Prince, to elect Trump. Conspiracy theory or true? #ArtOfTheStealnarativ.org/2019/01/02/sal…
Trump did a book deal. 'The Art of the Deal" It was all bullshit and puffery. He wasn't an artist. He didn't have talent. He had daddy's money. Trump was a fake. Just like all the gilt furniture and faux gold he uses in his Tower, home and businesses. newyorker.com/magazine/2016/…
The "art" of Donald Trump is that everything he has done is "fake". Trickery, false perspective, artful touches and creative deceit. Donald should have been a painter. He was already rich enough to go to art school and smoke weed and argue Proust. nytimes.com/interactive/20…
Donald is an artist. A con artist. He is a showman. He was on TV pretending to be rich. He had casinos that lost money. He wrote books that were scams. He had a university that was sued. He had a charity that stole from kids. The man is fucking artist. bbc.com/future/article…
He is such an artist that he paints his face every day. He is a prolific Twitter haikuist. He has invented more new words than Shakespeare. Every day he inspires the world to be creative and interpret our world through art. #ThankYouForYourArtServicepulse.ng/bi/politics/th…

My thoughts for today; Let Donny roll. Incompetence at speed and scale is historically a healthy thing in the long run. Successful managers respect reality, inertia, logistics, limitations etc. Stupid people think bluster and bullshit trump homeostasis. That leads to...
...an inflection or pivot point. Stability is an enemy to change. Good and bad. Instability is an ideal landscape for change. Pro or con. Let Trump paralyze, terrorize and metastasize the government because it will draw forth change agents to battle his chaos agents.
Trump's reliance on superficial theatrics, threats, insults, and unleashing incompetent subordinates with foolish ideas to disrupt the bureaucratic system we call government will lead to fractures. The much quieter "deep state" understands how the government operates.
Tip: Trump is embracing the Broligarch mantra of "disruption" as in, "move fast and break things." I call it "Smash, Grab and Run" because there are three endstates: 1) Payoffs for corrupt donors, 2) Legacy reshaping and 3) Protection of Trump familial wealth.
Trump operates on three levels: 1) rapidly spewing outrage jibberish to keep the media chasing his laser pointer, 2) Echoing donor jingoism to pay bills, and 3) discussing deeply corrupt deals while abusing his office of President.
This is tempered by a) his incompetence (Dunning-Kruger) b) his inability to think strategically and c) betraying his corrupt donors to take the short money instead of the long money. His backers also discard him when he has no beneficial purpose just as he discards his minions.
For those following the fires in California. Fire is a natural part of life here. Santana or devil winds are normal. Wood frame mansions on the edge of brush are common. November 6, 1961 was a similar event. Doesn't minimize the shock or sense of loss. lafire.com/famous_fires/1…
This time we had the jet stream pushed too high. 30 degree variance between day and night. No rain so far (starts in mid-December). Winds out of season. Usually 3 days of hot dry winds from the desert in Sept/Nov. We had a lot of brush grow after two years of great rainfall.
The Pacific Palisades is a unique place. Dating back to the 20's. A lot of entertainment people. A lot of Jewish community. The heart of liberal California. Beautiful views and weather. $5M and up. They are going to have a major voice and impact as they get together to rebuild.
Back when no one believed that the UK would divorce Europe. Dominic Cummings was not only correct but was behind much of the strategy. economist.com/britain/2016/0…
The faces of Leave UK were not your usual politicans.
'A former Vote Leave staffer said that Cummings had a first rate political brain but less developed interpersonal skills. “Some people found him really odd,”. opendemocracy.net/en/opendemocra…
The premise of was false. But that didn't matter. African migrants weren't going to take over the UK. They were already there... from India and the colonies. "I think it’s perfectly reasonable to say ‘Brexit was a mistake and history will prove that’.”newstatesman.com/politics/2021/…
Jamie Raskin takes 72 pages to explain exactly what political weaponization looks like. Few are going to read this, but the shitbags and Russian spies who falsely testified against the President and his family should enjoy some form of very cruel wrath. oversightdemocrats.house.gov/sites/evo-subs…
There was also a sideshow where lawyers were dispatched to talk to Russian and FSB assets in Ukraine to invent evidence. This is part of an investigation related to contact with foreign agents. Perp walks, please. businessinsider.com/victoria-toens…
Much of this goes back to the Mueller investigation, where Russians and Russian assets were tasked to influence a pussy mad, broke-ass hick from Queens named Donald Trump. They won. We lost. justice.gov/archives/sco/f…
