Someone raised the point of "hope" to me last night. I had hope that a movement would in fact stand in direct opposition to Trump and the Corporate Democratic theft of elections. 1/x
I find absolutely zero hope in selling out to Joe Biden, who not only didn't even campaign... he is a republican and worse than Ronald Reagan or George W Bush.

It is called gaslighting when people present this in any other way.
Gaslighting to convince you there is no other alternative.

Gaslighting to make you believe it is better for 3/4 of Democrats to go back to sleep or to brunch with a Biden victory than 100% engaged in resistance to Trump.
Gaslighting to dumb you down to fall in line with privileged people who thought Elizabeth Warren was a progressive
Gaslighting to make you forget 40 yrs of legislative destruction & wars; austerity & conservative, dixiecrat, boll weevil evil that Joe Biden has done from the Crime Bill to bankruptcy reform. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya & so many other things like fighting against Medicare for All.
Gaslighting to pretend Joe Biden won a primary he never campaigned in

I cannot be dumbed down to forget everything I know.

I owe my children far better than that... so do you... even if you won't acknowledge it.

We owe the planet better than that...
Joe Biden has said "Nothing would fundamentally change"... he has. said he would veto medicare for all. He. has said fracking jobs would not be in danger.
Who will resist Joe Biden when 75% of Democrats will go back to sleep or even worse as many of my friend's friends do... worthlessly sell you that Joe is good.
Shamefully shitty political analysis. Shamefully shallow. Shamefully unimaginative and shamefully useless at making change.
Under Donald Trump, we have seen opposition rise to reichwing bullshit. Under a president Biden... it gets buried and we all lose with a climate clock ticking that doesn't negotiate.
Please know I despise Donald Trump... but we need an engaged populous. We need engaged and mobilized citizens. Biden fails on this front at every level while Trump accidentally does for us what we couldn't do for ourselves... unite us in opposition.
Because trust me, the greater evil is that Democrats currently resisting would support Joe Biden's every move and go back to sleep.

If this is too much to understand... remember this...

Trump hasn't vetoed any Democratic Bills. They haven't even made it to his desk.

I woke up and realized there is a serious problem even in our own ranks. Class based activism and desperation often are in conflict with each other.
When a person of means doesnt have to feel the direct pinch of neoliberal balkanization... the down playing of the impact of genuine suffering can feel like simple "pragmatism". Its allies and haters that fall into this trap of cultural and class based elitism.
When a person sees the tsunami in their own lives and knows the biding of time is all they have short of a legislative miracle... suicide becomes a real option.

Friends... If you vote for Biden... You don't just "get rid of Trump"... You fill the agencies and every aspect of our government with the Clinton machine again. That is the Deep State. The unelelcted appointments and hires that fill the halls with neoliberals at every level.
So Biden picks a youngish African American woman with the intention of that being the succession path

It sure as fuck isn't Nina Turner... No... It is a fucking conservative Biden supporter. A neoliberal. And you set the stage for 12 years of entrenching neoliberalism.
AOC run for president??? The Democrats will not allow a primary challenge to an incumbent president or a VP in this case. The party will rally round the neoliberal family with a pocket full of shells.

For those who have been harmed by bad economics, regardless of economists "ah ha" moments are the victims. I will not presume to tell families who are victims to be gentle to the people who killed their loved ones. That is a privileged position no one should feel comfy preaching
When you support the delicate sensibilities of orthodox economists over the pain and suffering of their victims you are doing this wrong no matter how many "likes" you get
I want to make something very clear and then I am going to go on a social media hiatus for a bit. Not sure how long. Probably relatively short, so this is about soul searching.
