And there is the further absurdity that BIPOC doesn’t make sense in this context if “POC” is meant to include Asian students, as the term often does.

Ah, ok. I actually hadn’t realized that BIPOC was created for the purpose of excluding Asians. But the truth is we’ve never known what to do with the Asian American experience in the context of the All-American skin game. How could GPAs be racist if Asians were acknowledged?
Also worth noting that the SAT has already been fatally wounded. So what is the ideal world that is being envisioned without GPAs? If everyone just gets a pass/fail, what actually are the criteria for getting into school? Presumably the personal essay about adversity will remain?
