1. I was thinking today ... I wonder if all those men who fought hellish battles on D-Day, Iwo Jima, Battle of the Bulge, and on and on, thought they were privileged due to their race when facing enemy tanks, mortars, bullets, and bombs.
2.   I seriously doubt that ran through their minds, or the minds of any American back then.  Yet, the truth is the large majority of them (not all, of course) were white and, might I add, Christian.
3. You can visit the graves of hundreds of thousands of them throughout America and the world.
4. I doubt the men who fought hellish battles as Union soldiers during the Civil War considered themselves privileged (again, not all white but a large majority), as hundreds of thousands of them died to defend the Union, defeat the Confederacy, and end slavery.
