20 Pieces of Advice if you are in your 20's

To set yourself up for success in life:

Accumulated from Mistakes, Accomplishments, and Regrets

Read Below 👇
1. Find a form of exercise you enjoy and do it a few times a week.

This can be anything.

Run, Bike, Play a sport.

Consistency will be key to maintaining overall fitness.
2. Lift weights at least 2x per week.

This is essential to maintain longevity.

A certain level of strength is required to keep your body moving optimally.

Obviously this should be done more if you are interested in building a more muscular physique.

This is the bare minimum
3. Watch what you eat

Try to stay as natural as possible.

Eat things that were available 500 years ago.

Eat things that don't have an ingredients list.

Avoid processed crap.
4. Avoid Binge Drinking

There's a big difference between having a few drinks with friends

and Binging on alcohol every weekend.

The later will do more harm than you know.
5. Avoid Debt as much as you can.

If the career you want to pursue requires an expensive education (Healthcare, Law, Ect..)

Seek all the options to keep this debt at a minimum.

Don't abuse credit cards to buy shit you don't need.
6. Start Investing as early as possible.

If you have no income find something you can do on the weekends and start putting money away into an investment account.

If you are not sure about why.

Look up "Compound Interest"

This is the key to ending up rich.
7. Educate yourself outside of school.

Don't rely on the education system to teach you everything you need to know to thrive in the modern world.

Because they won't.

I learned this the hard way.
8. Read Books.

Your mind is your most valuable tool.

Educate yourself on anything you are interested in.

There is an abundance of information out there and the majority of people are not using it.

Use this to your advantage.
9. Start building an online business.

It doesn't matter what it is.

Find something you enjoy and practice it every single day for a year.

This will put you over the top.

Having an income you can leverage from anywhere is the ticket to freedom in the modern day world.
10. Find your Strengths:

Try things.

See what works, and what doesn't.

If you are naturally good at something, pursue it.

Most people will be too caught up with other stuff to embrace this.
11. Work on your weaknesses

While mastering one thing your strong at will put you ahead of the game

It doesn't take what people think to better yourself in areas of weakness

Spend 1-2 hours a week developing these, eventually they will fade and this will build confidence
12. Choose your circle wisely

"You are the average of the 5 people you spend time with"

I found this to hold true

Find people on the same wave length as you.

Bring each other up.
13. Fail often

This is inevitable

Dont be afraid of it, embrace it.

If you can fail as early as possible

You will learn valuable lessons that can only be learned from failure.
14. Disregard the opinions of others

This is easier said than done

But it's possible and should be trained

People will always have issues with what you do

Whether you are doing too much

Or not doing enough

Just go about your ways

Their opinions will do nothing for you
15. Travel

Traveling exposes your mind to the world, to different views of life, to different cultures and people.

It will help you grow, learn to interact with others, and develop social skills.

Travelling on a budget is possible.
16. Avoid the mainstream media

There is no reason for you to know everything there is to know about the Kardashians.

Yet this is VERY common in society.

Avoid this shit as much as you can.

No need to explain this one.
17. Spend time alone

With your thoughts.

This will help you get a better understand of who you are.

Its essential for growth.

Dedicate a few minutes a day to sit with yourself.

No music, No podcast, No people.

Just you and your mind.
18. Writing

I was fooled into thinking this wasn't "cool" my whole youth.

Writing helps you in so many ways.

Write about your goals

About what you want from life

About your mistakes

Write, Reflect, and Grow.
19. Laugh often and enjoy the little things

Don't go through this life without having a sense of humor.

We already have too many of those people.

At the end of the day, we are all gonna die and the world will keep going.

Make it a priority to laugh every single day.
20. Be Grateful.

Be grateful for what you have.

It could always be worst.

Trust me on this one.
