On Trump's goon squads and the argument that "this is not new": This shit isn't happening in some fixed state of comparison to other harms. It is transposed on other horrors and those horrors are deepening. This is not a competition. It's a spiraling progression of events.
Trump's chief of staff strongly suggested yesterday that Trump's goon squad will be in Chicago this week and that their focus might broaden beyond protest to "community safety." Yesterday, FOP President John Shithead extended an open invitation to Trump to do just that.
When these agents come to Chicago, and their violence is layered upon the violence of CPD, and the two work in concert, as Portland has taught us to expect, will y'all still be harping about how this isn't new?
