It seems like some members of the local Govt medical fraternity are using the COVID-19 pandemic to unscrupulously make money. They’re privately diagnosing & treating positive cases whilst clandestinely concealing the status
It seems like some members of the local Govt medical fraternity are using the COVID-19 pandemic to unscrupulously make money. They’re privately diagnosing & treating positive cases whilst clandestinely concealing the status
2/ They’re not declaring the numbers publicity as demanded of their roles. Worse still, these individuals who test positive are roaming the streets freely at the risk of infecting the community at large.
3/ Just recently, the matron of Norton Hospital tested positive but the information was kept secret, she continued attending work. I therefore urge members of the community and staff alike to exercise extreme caution when visiting Norton Hospital.
4/ It is a very sad & disappointing scenario which I will be taking up at the highest level. We’ve worked too hard to be let down by selfish individuals. I represent both those who present positive as well as those who are negative.
5/ There’s nothing wrong in testing positive, however the information must be disseminated as a means of prevention control & so precautions may be taken. If we do not remain vigilant we’ll lose the battle against the virus. This is the time to be extra cautious.
6/ Yes we’re suffering from information fatigue & may feel there’s no need to maintain strict COVID-19 protocol but the time is now! COVID-19 rears it’s ugly head in our moment of weakness. It’s up to you to take responsibility & look after yourselves. #StaySafeZw
7/ I’m always grateful to the Norton nurses & civil servants who’re rarely moved to strike. However for this latest incident regarding the shrouded secrecy and unethical handling of a positive case, they were prepared to down their tools to expose this corruption.
8/ They were calling for the NTC MHO @nortontown to resign. Looking at the matter it, their concerns would appear founded. That’s all I’ll say for now. I’ve spoken with the NTC TS about it & the matter is being escalated @MoHCCZim
9/ The nursing fraternity has suffered for too long & now their lives are being put at risk by their bosses. Coronavirus is not a joke and we all have to play our parts
