In 2017 while serving as Minister of Commerce & Industries, Smt @nsitharaman had laid the foundation stone of IIGJ in Udupi with her MPLADS funds & with support from the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council & National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

In the temple, there is an inscription of Pallava Vijay Nirupatunga Vikrama Varman on his 24th regnal year here which evidences that this Perumal was worshipped by Pallavas. There is another inscription of Veerarajendra Chola in the temple.
The inscription opens in typical Chola style with Meikeerthi of Veerarajendra as 'Thiruvalar Tirupuyat Tirunila Valayan'.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the duration of several schemes till 31.12.2020 in view of the continued disruption caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic in certain parts of the country and to provide greater Ease of Doing Business.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs had introduced a new scheme known as the Companies Fresh Start Scheme, 2020, valid from 01.04.2020 to 30.09.2020 to enable companies to make good their previous defaults. This Scheme has now been extended till 31.12.2020.
The MCA had also introduced a new scheme known as the LLP Settlement Scheme, 2020 which was valid from 01.04.2020 to 13.06.2020 and was later extended till 30.09.2020. The Scheme has been further extended to 31.12.2020 to enable LLPs to make good their previous defaults.
As of 21 Sept 2020, the total amount sanctioned under the 100% Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme by #PSBs and private banks to #MSMEs and individuals stands at Rs 1,77,353 crore, of which Rs 1,25,425 crore has already been disbursed. Here is the break-up: #AatmanirbharBharat
The ambit of the Scheme was expanded to include MSMEs with turnover of up to Rs 250 crore & individuals for business purposes. As of Sept 21, 2020, Rs 9,849.74 crore of loans to individuals have been sanctioned, of which Rs 2,617.08 crore has been disbursed. #AatmanirbharBharat
