The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has extended the duration of several schemes till 31.12.2020 in view of the continued disruption caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic in certain parts of the country and to provide greater Ease of Doing Business. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs had introduced a new scheme known as the Companies Fresh Start Scheme, 2020, valid from 01.04.2020 to 30.09.2020 to enable companies to make good their previous defaults. This Scheme has now been extended till 31.12.2020.

As of 21 Sept 2020, the total amount sanctioned under the 100% Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme by #PSBs and private banks to #MSMEs and individuals stands at Rs 1,77,353 crore, of which Rs 1,25,425 crore has already been disbursed. Here is the break-up: #AatmanirbharBharat Image The ambit of the Scheme was expanded to include MSMEs with turnover of up to Rs 250 crore & individuals for business purposes. As of Sept 21, 2020, Rs 9,849.74 crore of loans to individuals have been sanctioned, of which Rs 2,617.08 crore has been disbursed. #AatmanirbharBharat

The @GST_Council under the Chairpersonship of Smt @nsitharaman held its 40th meeting today and took decisions that will significantly reduce the compliance cost and burden for small taxpayers. The decisions are as follows: 1. Late fee for non-furnishing FORM GSTR-3B for the tax period from July 2017 to January 2020 has been reduced/waived as follows:
- ‘NIL’ late fee if there is no tax liability
- Maximum late fee capped at Rs. 500 per return if there is any tax liability.

In view of the difficulties being faced due to #COVID19, the @RBI has taken a slew of steps aimed at maintaining adequate liquidity in the system, incentivising bank credit flows, easing financial stress, and enabling the normal functioning of markets. #IndiaFightsCorona To increase MSME liquidity, @RBI announced a targeted long-term repo operation totalling Rs 50,000 crore aimed at mid and small NBFCs and MFIs. Smt @nsitharaman, with the help of the Government of Karnataka, used Rs 75 lakhs from her MPLADS funds for the restoration work of the Kalena Agrahara Lake in Bengaluru. The lake has a length of 278 m (main bund) and a total area of 7 acre 30 guntas. The funds were utilised for the removal of sludge from the lake bed to enhance the impounding capacity, strengthening of main bund including revetment and turfing, and formation of ring bund using available desilted earth including revetment and turfing.
