Hopsitals in Hidalgo look like war zones; docs, nurses & techs are tired; need more space & beds, but who will staff them? Morgues & funeral homes are full, they’ve resorted to refridgerated trucks to store the dead. Supplies of oxygen & PPE low. Ambulances wait up to 10 hours.
And all the County Judge is asking for is the ability to require people to stay at home so that he can stop the spread of this virus. It is clear that Abbott is choosing to let people suffer and die instead of lifting a finger to help them. He won’t even let them help themselves.
