BREAKING: The @ACLU_OR is taking federal authorities in Portland, Oregon, to court.

This is a fight to save our democracy. These federal agents must be stopped and removed from the city.
Federal agents are terrorizing the community, threatening lives, and relentlessly attacking protesters demonstrating against police brutality.

This is not law and order. This is lawlessness — and it must be stopped.
The lawsuit — the first of multiple to be filed against the Trump administration in Portland — seeks to block DHS and other agencies from attacking journalists and legal observers at protests.

We're bringing the full power of the ACLU to bear until this lawless policing ends.

BREAKING: We're demanding an independent criminal investigation into the use of force on protesters outside the White House last month.

Barr must recuse himself and a special counsel must be appointed.

This administration needs to be held accountable.
Federal and other government forces used tear gas, flash-bang grenades, and rubber bullets in an unprovoked attack to make way for President Trump's photo-op at St. John's Church.
The Department of Justice has already admitted Barr personally ordered Lafayette Square cleared.

Now we're demanding a special counsel investigate and, if warranted, prosecute him for federal crimes.

VICTORY: A judge just blocked a law that made voting nearly impossible for Native Americans living on rural reservations in Montana.
Voting has never been easy for Native Americans living on Montana's rural reservations due to systemic disenfranchisement, but the law would've made it even harder.
We, @ACLUMT, @NDNrights, @wnativevoice, @mtnativevote, the Assiniboine & Sioux Tribes of Fort Peck, Blackfeet Nation, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation, Crow Tribe, and Fort Belknap Indian Community fought to make sure every vote counts.
