SCOOP: King County Executive Dow Constantine plans to close the county jail in downtown Seattle—and build no new facilities to replace it.

I've obtained a leaked email outlining the plan. 👇
On Thursday, officials will announce a "phased closing of the Seattle jail" and a plan replace it with "prevention, diversion, rehabilitation, and harm reduction" programs. Additionally, the county will end all youth detention by 2025.
This is a radical escalation in the agenda of "abolishing the police" and "abolishing prisons." This policy would eliminate nearly 60 percent of King County's jail capacity—and lead to the early release of violent criminals.

In new whistleblower documents, I've discovered that the National Credit Union Administration hired diversity consultant Howard Ross to train 8,900 employees on "white supremacy."

Let's unpack it. 👇
Ross begins by claiming America was "founded on racism" and "built on the backs of people who were enslaved."

He says modern America has upheld this system of white supremacy through "policing [and] discriminatory practices" for "hundreds and hundreds of years."
Ross claims that all white people are complicit in this system of white supremacy "not necessarily by choice, but by automatic response to the ways we're taught." He claims that even "good and decent [white] people" uphold "the system of systematized racism."

The training is called "Difficult Conversations about Race" and calls on white employees at Treasury, Federal Reserve, FDIC, CFPB, and NCUA to pledge "allyship amid the George Floyd Tragedy."

The goal is explicit: to convert "everyone in the federal government" to "antiracism."
To begin, the trainers set the ground rules: they claim that "virtually all White people contribute to racism" and insist that white employees must "struggle to own their racism" and accept their "unconscious bias, White privilege, and White fragility."

The progressives on the Seattle City Council have signaled their intention to dramatically slash the city police budget.

Today, they held a hearing on a plan to reduce the police department by 50% and redistribute the money to "communities of color."

Here are the details. 👇
The activists are claiming that the Black Lives Matter movement has given them a political mandate to "defund" the Seattle Police Department.

They claim to have 45,000 petition signatures and 300 partner organizations who demand the 50% budget cut.
The plan would "freeze hiring," [reduce] patrol staffing," abolish the homelessness outreach team, "cut SPD's training budget," and "end overtime pay for police officers."

Experts estimate this could reduce total number of officers from 1,400 to 700.
