(Translation thread: Soraru's 12th year anniversary livestream on Twitcas)
Soraru: I've received a lot of messages and illustrations from everyone, thank you so much!
It's not like anything has changed, but since it's a rare thing I thought about livestreaming today
Soraru: I had a Zoom call meeting today, everyone showed their faces except me so I felt bad but while in the livestream, I kept hearing "Bam! Bam! Bam!" like someone banging on the table, but no one heard it except me and I was so afraid.
Soraru was napping a little before, but he's fully awake now.
S: 12 years... That's crazy.
(Talking about his past)
S: I was 19 years old back, actually even before [July 22], I feel like I've uploaded a video before that
[And he confirms that it's true. I think he took it down]
(Slight NSFW)
Soraru said when he was in university, he had to borrow a laptop from his mom for university. He sneakily sneaks in how he used it also plays erotic games that he borrows from his friends... [Bruh... not on your 12th anniversary livestream...]
Soraru says he was surprisingly an outgoing person last time, he would rent cars and go camping, BBQ, drinking with his friends. But he liked going to karaoke a lot and played the guitar in high school. He liked listening, playing and singing songs.
To tell you just how boomer Soraru is: He's talking about how rental CD shops were all the rage last time and there no streaming platforms in the past (Like Spotify)
He wasn't interested in Vocaloid back then, but got into it and felt that he wanted to sing it
When Soraru started as an Utaite activity, he really didn't know anything at all. He said he recorded with a hand microphone, and used Audacity to record his voice and searched up how to edit sounds, and just added the echo effect in his voice
He didn't know anything about mixing
Soraru says he signed up for a social site (V-Nyappon) that VocaloidP/Utaites/Vocaloid fans would gather. He knew a lot of Utaites from there and he was the youngest then😂
Soraru learnt a lot by studying other Utaites to improve his singing/covers too
Soraru said, slowly more people would livestream while showing their faces. He was so shocked when he watched it in the beginning and thought "Are you serious?!". But he says now it's normal to show your face on livestreams.
Soraru says he realises that there's a lot of things he feels that has changed about him compared to the past. He's made a lot of friends, had argued with others, still friends with others he's met a long time ago, and a few people he knew has also disappeared.
Soraru said he would try to watch other amazing people's covers/songs and try to mimic their good parts.

Soraru also recalls how he would play a lot of Internet games with the female Utaite Komeru!
Soraru says there is no doubt that 1 of the reason he was able to continue his activities as an Utaite even when people around him quit is because there are people willing to listen to his songs.
From now, he'll be able to continue because there are people who'll listen to him.
