I was thinking about super productivity and wrote this. Please share your thoughts. (1/n)
*Deep work*
If you multi-task, you are bound to regret (2/n)
*Next Logical Question*
If you don’t answer NLQ in one shot, beware of being disturbed repeatedly (3/n)
*Planning*
If you don’t plan, you have no idea of available time and tasks. Plan your day in advance. Work in slots (4/n)
*Decision Making*
Urgent and Important - do it now
Not urgent and important - plan for it in your calendar
Urgent and not important - delegate
Not urgent and not important - do not do it
Read from 7 habits of effective people... (5/n)
*Organise well *
Touch things once.
Act on it or
Save it or
Delete it
(6/n)
*Get to the point*
Type your message in one shot. When the receiver sees, they can reply as they are aware of the full context. Don’t just type hi and wait for the other person to reply to your hi.
(7/n)
*Think before you act*
Don’t react. Respond. Reaction is immediate. Response is usually thought through.
(8/n)
*No surprises*
Communicate important decisions in advance. No one likes surprises.
(9/n)
*Take help*
There is nothing wrong in taking help. The problem is when you keep it to yourself so long that a small problem has now become a blocker
(10/n)
*Multiple stakeholders*
When given tasks from multiple stakeholders, keep both of them informed about the deadlines and priority. Don’t keep anyone assuming that you are working on their task but in the background you are working on someone else’s task. COMMUNICATE.
(11/n)
*Use the right medium*
To be saved - Use email
Complex, difficult to explain - set up meeting. Give them context beforehand
Need quickly - use chat/instant messaging
Do not send an email with one line or whole code in chat. Use the right medium.
