We discussed all matters related to our neighborhood, from Libya and Syria to Iraq, Azerbaijan and the Mediterranean, at today’s National Security Council meeting, and reiterated our unwavering commitment to our nation’s security policies to ensure its survival.
The Republic of Turkey is determined to transform its spiritual geography into a realm of stability by promoting security not just at home but also in a broad region between the Balkans and Central Asia to the Gulf and the Strait of Gibraltar.
Turkey is fully aware of the partnerships targeting the sovereign rights of nations around the world. It won’t hesitate to take necessary steps to topple this regime of oppression. Turkey’s ultimate goal is for peace and stability to prevail around the globe.
Turkey will remain committed to its people-centered security and foreign policy, which we have followed for years, regardless of its costs, until all parties turn to the direction we have identified. Turkey’s greatest strength is to be on the side of righteousness and truth.
Let there be no mistake: Turkey will side with its brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan and repel all kinds of reckless attacks against them. In Cyprus, too, will we stop any attempt to disturb the island’s peace and stability.
The Republic of Turkey has the power and ability to obliterate the illegitimate bloc targeting Libya’s legitimate government, as it has defeated various terrorist organizations, including PKK/YPG and Daesh.
Today, as always, we inform the world that there can be no successful project or initiative, anywhere between Turkey’s neighborhood and the Mediterranean’s farthest parts, despite our objections. There will be no accomplishment in this part of the world without Turkey’s approval.
At a time when the world finds itself on the verge of a painful rebirth and humanity needs peace and stability more than ever, Turkey will continue to shelter oppressed peoples and do everything in its power to promote the atmosphere of welfare for which humanity yearns.
