Also, despite what Zack is saying here, there is a real difference between someone who's an editor and somehow who is a contributing writer.
The point is not vanity - one role is not obviously more prestigious than the other. It is wanting one's job to be described accurately.

Also also, "Yahoo News made the same mistake as me, so..." must be the most mealy-mouthed excuse for an error I've ever seen.
